The SGS Deployment Response Team
The SGS Deployment Response Team(s) (DRT) provides developing Emergency Operations Plans (EOP) for future and current needs of the clients Salus Group Services contracts with. Accomplished properly, this planning will provide a methodical way to engage both local resources and the client to identify and resolve any potential crisis, determining required capabilities, and establishing a framework for roles and responsibilities. All members of a response team will be certified for any possible contingency upon request. Priority for selection of these members will be prior military or police background. Due to the stressful environment that many of these deployments can be under, it is not unusual for members of the DRT to experience 12 hour shifts 7 days a week of up to but limited to 90 days. Prior experience with military deployment is necessary to be a member of this group.
SGS provides all of the operational and administrative support for its team members operating on the ground. From lodging and transportation to payroll and billing, we handle the work load so you the client can focus on the things that matter the most.
Training and certification in multiple areas are offered and encouraged. All members will be made available to carry or qualify for state unarmed and armed licenses, CPR/AED, CPI, TWIC, Hospital Credentialing for Tenet/HCA, Level 2 background clearance, and other applicable training required.

Rapid Response Teams:
Due to the nature of this type of work, there usually is an immediate request for armed and unarmed security services when the call is made to the company. This could mean that a client is requesting an immediate security presence in as little as 12 hrs. from the initial call. SGS has a contingency of contractors that are available to deploy in as little as 6 hrs. (location and situation dependent) to begin security operations. This initial contact team being the first boots on the ground, Rapid Response Teams are expected to establish client contact, organize operational structure, establish a TOC (tactical operations center), coordinate communications with the project leader and our Management Team, and conduct scheduling and site survey operations.
Many of the members of the Rapid Response Teams are prior military contractors with extensive background work with the US State/Defense Departments and embassy security in the Middle East, South America, and Africa. This level of background will ensure that the assistance we provide goes above what the average security company will provide during a disaster response or other needs for this type of response.
